U.S. Attorney Profiles
Jonathan Paul is the managing partner of The Tech Law Group and has over
10 years experience as in-house counsel for companies ranging from a start-up with less than ten employees to a publicly traded technology corporation. He is a co-founder of FunEducation, Inc, an e-learning company, and
serves on the boards of several technology companies. His unique background as an entrepreneur and corporate attorney allows him to translate complex legal issues into terms a business person can understand.
Before starting his own businesses, he was Corporate Counsel at National Instruments Corporation, a company traded on NASDAQ with a $2 billion market cap. Prior to attending law school, he served four years in the United States Navy as a communications officer. He is a combat veteran of the Gulf War and was involved in special operations in Panama, Somalia and Bosnia. Jon received his BA in History, with distinction, from the Virginia Military Institute and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
Jon completed additional studies in EU law at Université Paris X and
international law at Université Aix-Marseille III in France. He is licensed to practice in California and Texas.

Mark Wisnosky is Of

Mark has a J.D. from
University of San Diego and
a PhD in physical chemistry
from the University of
Washington. He is a patent
attorney with more than 25
years of business and R&D
experience and is licensed
to practice in California.
Steven Thrasher is Of

Group and specializes in
software technology by
assisting entrepreneurs with
identifying software
inventions, getting software
patents, and pursuing
protection (including
internationally--especially
in Europe, Canada, and Latin
America), enforcing rights,
and licensing. Current
clients use their portfolios
to go public, achieve
acquisition, find
investment, increase
shareholder value, and stop
infringement. The value of
these transactions easily
exceeds 100 million dollars.
Steven is the chairman of the
Finance Committee and a Director of the United Inventors’ Association of
America, and also serves on the advisory board for the Dallas MIT Forum--an
affiliate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology dedicated to the
education of entrepreneurs and inventors. Steven has authored articles as well
as co-authored the “E-Copyright Law Handbook” which is used by attorneys to
answer their legal questions. Steven received M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from
Baylor University, and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Finance from
Auburn University. Steven completed additional studies in international law at
The Queens’ College, Oxford University, England, and the Universidad Autonoma de
Guadalajara, in Mexico. Steven is a member of the State Bar of Texas and
is a licensed patent attorney.
